Being a tourist in Washington DC

On Friday, 14th August, we went into Washington DC on the train to look at the Monuments. The first was the Washington Memorial, a white pinnacle reaching for the sky. From there we walked to the World War 2 Memorial, then on to the Lincoln Memorial. We went to The Viet Nam War wall of Rememberance next, and that was very impressive, and sadly poignant. So many names. From there we went to the Korean War Memorial. We continued walking to the Roosevelt Memorial, and then to the Jefferson Memorial.
